UT Game Win

I was happy to learn that I had won the "Bud True Game Experience" to attend the final University of Tennessee football game of the year. Since I live in Knoxville and work in Kentucky, the UT-UK rivalry is more relevant to me than to most. As a proud UT grad, I have to root for the Vols. Unfortunately, this season wasn't the best, but I had hopes they would end the season with a win. The prize consisted of game tickets, a parking pass (yay!) and a wristband that allowed pre-game on field access.

It was interesting to see the areas under Neyland Stadium where most people never are allowed to see. We went down onto the field as some preliminary warm-ups were happening and took some photos. It was late November, so naturally the weather was uncooperative. It was cold, raining and generally unpleasant. Still, it was fun to see the field up close and personal!

When we got to our seats, we were very happy to see that we were basically on the 50 yard line, so the view of the action was wonderful. Not so pleasant was the fact that we were out in the open (not under an overhanging section), so we were exposed to the rain and wind. It was a bittersweet experience, since it was Coach Phillip Fulmer's last game. Still, at least the Vols were able to send him off with a win!

Thanks to Budweiser for a fun and unique evening and experience!
